Current Covers™ have two VHB (Very High Bond) 3M adhesive strips that adhere to the common metal receptacle tabs found on all common electrical fixtures. This allows quick and easy tool free application and removal, which means rapid installation, improved efficiency, and safety.

No. Since the Current Cover™ is designed as a temporary cover, it must be removed prior to installing the final cover.

No. Current Covers™ are designed for temporary single use to ensure you always have a strong adhesive bond and remain protected. Reuse is not recommended.

No. We have seen a lot of creative attempts to mitigate this hazard in the field... but an OSHA letter of interpretation (question 4) specifically identifies this method of applying electrical tape as insufficient. It is also expensive and time consuming.
